Ok thanks for all of the advice everyone! So last night I did what was suggested...I took the rocks out (well the accessable ones...and scrubed them down with a toothbrush. THe ones I couldnt quite get out i still scrubed with a toothbrush (just inside the tank)...and caught a lot of the floating algae with a net in the overflow. THe tank is looking so much better today...and everything seems to have survived the trauma without a scratch.
