My large frilly mushroom has turned into a pretzel. One end is attached. Then he is completly twisted, and the other end is attached. He has been like this for about 2 weeks. I thought he would untwist himself, but he hasn't. So far he seems healthy. Should I leave him like this?

I would leave it alone. Mushrooms move alot and when they move they can leave/make a copy of themselves in the original spot.

Leslie it looks okay.
Those shrooms are tough!
Congrats if it splits on you.
Will you name both of them?
They are the best colored shrooms I've seen yet.
enjoy :)

Yup, getting ready to split.... you know you can expedite the process with a sharp blade, right? I had a red mushroom that was expanding a lot... took a sharp blade, cut it in half at the mouth... Now... I have 2 mushrooms. They actually formed themselves into mushrooms overnight. Pretty creepy and cool. So I call it my Frankenmushroom

Thanks for the compliments on the color.

Only one side has a mouth, so I am reluctant to use a blade. But thanks for the idea for some other time :)

As long as he seems healthy, I will wait it out and see what happens as many of you suggested.

P.S. If it does split, I am going to name them ditto and ditto :)

ditto, that's a good choice as I've been told they have a tendancy to split
often in peoples tanks they like. so you may have many more ditto's to come.
