White moss

Just noticed that a bunch of clumps, maybe 8 or 9, of a white moss. Mostly tucked in size the rocks. The biggest couple clumps are about the size of a quarter and some of the others are size of dime or smaller.

What is it and how bad?

Sounds like sponges. Not bad. Get a pic so we can confirm.
