another lighting upgrade ?

Ok I curently have (i know its not enough)4x65 coralife fixture with 10k bulbs and antics. I was wondering if i bought 2 150 mh pendents and used them with my pc's would that be enough light for a 90 gal. I want lps soft corals and unsure about sps.

I would gut the PC fixture and make a hood use the pc's as actinic suplementation and get 2 250 mh retro's.

do you think the 150' arent strong enough for a 90 gal?

I just put 150's on my 55 and that is ok, the person who I bought them from had them on a 75 and they did ok as well, but the 90 is deeper. That's why I said 250, but if you want to go with 150's I can attest that they look great on my 55.

if i get a retro fit do I need to encase the lights in glass. I have no top on my tank and Im afaraid the salt creep will fudge up the lights

I think you do, I have an all in one coralife unit and am not that DIY friendly, so you should ask someone that's good at crafting things.
