Any idea how to get a Clown to Host with a Leather Coral?

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know anything about how to coax a clown fish to host in a leather coral? I just picked up a leather coral about 5inches across in the hopes that my clown fish will stop hiding in the back of the tank.

Any ideas or info would be much appreciated.

Its not unheard of but it is difficult to have it host a leather. Some people use a specimen container when theyre trying to have 2 clowns pair up or host an anenome. Try that?

what do you have in your tank ?? my clowns host leather cause I don't have any anemone in the tank ...

my clowns are always around unless im feeding with the syringe, then they hide. what other fish do you have?? could be the cause of all the hiding

Tucson, I don't have any anemone in the tank, just a big Hammer coral.

As for the other fish, none are aggressive towards each other, 1- Banggai cardinal fish, 1 small blue/yellow Damsel, 1 firefish Goby, 1 striped prawn goby, 3 small Blue/ Green Chromis.

My maroone and gold stripe always hid
My black and white always out
Not in tank same time

Leather coral is not a natural host for a clownfish do they may never host it.
