just a quick question. I've recently gotten a starfish, pink fromia, and looks super healthy. Now I've heard of people saying they never see their stars and such, but mine is all over the tank and seems to go for strolls all over during the day and night. someone plz tell me i am not overworrying about his health and if he is doing ok. He's perfectly healthy and colored up alot since i got him, no signs of discoloration or body parts going bad. No fungus either.

It started to move around once it got some food on/under it when i was feeding my sun polyps and stuff, and i know they benefit from frozen foods. Think he got a whiff of something he liked and is looking for more?

I've done all the reading on them before the purchase just want to double check with you guys that have and know about them.

My star usually stays hidden in my rocks most of the time but when I take out the baster loaded with mysis to feed my sun corals he jumps right out and sticks one of his arms/legs? into the baster to get himself a meal.
He seems to know the second the baster hits the water.
And if the stars begging isn't enough...my pink spotted shrimp goby sucks the mysis right out of the baster!

Tony,
Fromia types should cruise the tank though they may at times disappear to the underside of a rock. Their feeding habits are not well understood, and if they survive the initial introduction ( the limbs will melt away) most seem to slowly starve to death ( over the course of months). Good luck they are beautiful.
