I've talked to some of you about lighting units so figured Id just start a post so I could keep track of all the info I missed or forgot lol
saw these while on late last night. Anyone have these lights? http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=ES53506

  • Two 150 watt 10,000K double-ended HQI metal halide lamps
  • Two 96 watt True Actinic 03 Blue square-pin compact fluorescent lamps
  • Three 1 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow 470nm LED lamps Two external HQI metal halide ballasts with on/off switches, 12-foot lamp cords and 6-foot power cords
  • Two on/off switches and two 12-foot power cords (one for two True Actinic 03 Blue compact fluorescent lamps and one for two Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow 470nm LED lamps)
I like the all in one setups, and tryin to stay away from a canopy. This unit, along with MANY other reccomendations thanks to you guys, mostly on RG :) , so takin it slow and tryin to narrow down

yeah aquatinics was one of the units reccomended to me previously. on another note while checking out that page, I came across their digital reefkeeper http://www.aquactinics.com/Store/item_reefkeeper.htm... I havent looked much into anything like this yet, but this seems like a nice piece of equipment to have (and im sure there are a bunch of different kinds of these things but I havent seen them yet as im trying to focus on lighting and a skimmer first)
