slowly changing my 120 from mainly fish to reef. advice on changing old sump with bioballs to refugium. how would i safely clip on the return hoses from the tank without the top plates? lighting? separation or divider so macroalgae don't get sucked up into skimmer or pump?

Slowly remove the bioballs and and add live rock rubble to the fuge, also do you have a light for the fuge? You're gonna need some macro algae to if you don't have any.

might be silly question but how do you attach the flexible return hoses to minimize the risk of them moving and falling out of sump. currently, they screw in to the plates on top of the wet/dry. will buy clip on light which i've seen on marinedepot site and can get chaeto. the mechanical part is the difficult part. should i hard pipe the returns? pictures of systems or ideas appreciated.
