anyone has a sound deadning pad under their tank and stand ? i use the stuff at work for car trunk's and was thinking of putting it under my tank and stand, and using it on the back of tank to color black. this would kill almost all noise from tank. tank any water movement vibration and quiet pumps some . just curious to see if anyone has done anything like this and their thoughts. ty rick

Hey what's up Peekskill, I had problems with my filter and pumps, tried using 1 inch thick Styrofoam, still made noise. I finally ended up using a work out matte (the one you can roll up, only about 1/2" thick, worked like a champ. Even better, water resistant, and super cheap. I was originally going to purchase a rubber matte (like the stuff at a Gym) but was too expensive.

i figured it would do the job, the stuff i get at work{body shop} has an adhesive on one side and is sponge like on the other. guess il find out soon if it works
