My name is Marc and I am definately new to this hobby and website as i stated above. I currently have a small reef tank now just to start with this hobby. I am also renting a house so i can not really do much with bringing the big guns out because i do not know how long I am going to be here. So as of now I have a 12 Gallon Nano tank which i have learned a great deal about and of course am still learning. I have a Clarkie clownfish, a engineer goby which I love, and a starfish which is awesome. I recently lost my dottyback which i did love as well. Obviously, I am no longer adding fish in the tank because i think i got a good solid foundation with the ones I have. They are fun and it is a small tank as well. I also have a Leather i nthe tank which is blossoming all over and my mushrooms are doing fantastic. I am now looking just to add more of the corals side of things. I was going to try a small bubble tip anenome for my clownfish but the lighting is not good enough. But he is fine. So if anyone can help me out with corals that can go good with what I have that would be great. Any other information woould also be appreciated. I am always looking for new advice and new things to learn. I mean this is a learning process and I am so interested in making this work and hopefully getting to bigger and better things when I own a house one day. Also if my wife approves hahahhaha :)

Thank you and looking forward to speaking with all of you :)

Your lighting may not be good enough for an anemone, but a clown will sometimes host in a frogspawn, hammer, torch, or other similar coral. I've heard of clowns even taking to large hairy mushrooms. Look around and you may find something for the clown.

BTW... welcome to MR

Marc, welcome to our part of the reef. As already stated, very nice to see you researching and asking Q's before jumping in head first. You're bound to succeed this way.

FYI, I have a breeding pair of Ocellaris Clowns and no anemone. They have hosted in a wall hammer and lay eggs (that hatch) every 11-12 days.

Steveo said it.....we're picture hounds, so please post some pix of your glass box. We can never get enough of them.
