Any type of "plant" or algae to put in a tank ?

I was wondering....are there any types of "plants" or plant like material that would be beneficial that can be put in the main tank ? Is there algae like this perhaps ? I wouldn't mind having something like this in my FOWLR especially if it would be beneficial...also something easy to keep as well...Thanks !!

Are there any algae-eating fish in the FOWLR? If so, I don't think there is an algae that will grow fast enough to remain in the tank longterm (2 days).

No fish yet, I am planning on only a pair of clowns and one other fish (he can be "plant or algae friendly"

In that case, I recommend Halimeda sp. and Penicillus sp.
