Wes Advanced Reefer Location Raleigh, NC Rating - 100% 6 0 0 Feb 20, 2007 #15 yeah i see that...just saying that mine gets enough light from T5 at the bottom of the tank... the amount of light is not a problem for him, especially up on the rocks.. however as Deanos said, the lighting is the least of his worries if he is relatively new at this stuff.

Wes Advanced Reefer Location Raleigh, NC Rating - 100% 6 0 0 Feb 20, 2007 #19 i'm pretty sure that a signe of not enough light is if the mantle over extends like it is reaching out as far as it can for more light. the one in the pic looks like it's doing pretty good. also keep in mind that not all clams are equal.. For example Squamosa is one of the less light demanding tridacnids...Mine does just fine at the bottom of my 24" tall tank w/ T5. Last edited: Feb 20, 2007
