maintaining params whe changing H20

I do a 20% water change every other week. For the days prior to the water change my parameters are where i'd like them to be. After changing the water my parameters are low. Can I safely dose my water while i'm mixing the salt to have the calcium, alk, and mag match my tankwater prior to the change? Or could I add enough supplements in one shot following the water change, according to a reef calculator, to bring the parameters back to their targets safely?

I try to have the saltmix match the tankwater. I add B-Ionic part 1&2 to my saltmix prior to a water change to bring up the calcium and alk a bit..

I dose after the water change. That way I don't have to unnecessarily test the tank water AND new water.

when you dose do you add it all in one shot to bring it up to the target params?

Calcium: yes, 1 dose
Magnesium: over the course of 2 days (2 doses)
Alkalinity: haven't had to adjust in a long while :scratch:
