for the price of the red sea you could have got alot better set-up. i was thinking of getting one till i weighed out initial cost, and the rest of stuff needed to make it what it needed. love the size on them though. best of luck. as well as vendor's here there's a few decent lfs
two 55w t5 flourescent with cooling.. does taht sound ok? How do you feel about a 10 times per hour water turnover with two pumps both at one side of the tank?

I think you will have enough lighting for some softies and maybe some LPS. If you plan to get SPS somewhere down the road you will need an upgrade. I would just go with what you have now and upgrade from there. Upgrading is fun and you learn so much from them!
im planning now only on softies and LPS basically due to the light.
the two PH's total 300 GPH ( 34 gallon tank) are both together on one side. im planning on putting on 400 GPH Hydor Koralia on the other end to cross streams.. been lead to believe the Hydor has a nice gentle spread stream.
do you thin with adequate live rock and aragonite i need the ceramic biological filter or will wrok againt the rock and create excessive nitrate???
The only filtration I have in my tank is live rock, live sand, and a protein skimmer. I know some people may think I'm crazy but it works for me. My uncle is setting up a similar system and he is going to start out with just softies and LPS.
