i like the 2 to 1 ratio, as long as there 110 lbs in the system it doesnt matter where you keep it i would think, you can keep all 110 in the sump and 0 in the tank...

The 2:1 ratio is not always possible... unless you ground the rock into gravel, I'd like to see you try to fit 66lbs into my tank!

Bottom line is, the more rock you have, the better. If you can fit some in your sump... go for it, use it to hold macro algae in place... whatever... just get enough rock in there to keep your tank healthy.

As much as you want. Just one recomendation with added rock in the sump it may require more flow to keep detritus from settling in between dead spots in the newly added rock.

live rock in sump tip:

place the rock on a platform of eggcrate and pvc to allow the detritus to accumulate in a spot that can be siphoned/pumped out with out having to remove the rock.

the way i have my baffle's the last one has open spot's along bottom to give water movement along bottom of sump to push any debris up and around. was an accident the way it turned out, but liking it now so i have top and bottom movement in sump

I have around 260lbs in my 120g and still plenty of room for the fishes to swim.

The rule of thumb I followed (and worked well for me) was 2lbs per gallon. More, of course, is OK, too.

It's a sump, whatever formula per gallon you go with that is generally for your display tank. I would say this, put enough in your sump so that you have ample room for a skimmer, pump, sandbed(if desired) and macro algae.

Some people make display sumps and make the sump/fuge visable. you should also light the sump if you are gonna keep LR or macro algae.
