ok now i read it fully, but it doesnt say if you had ich and the fish is dead is ich still present

Excerpt from the link you just read:

If an aquarium has no fish in it, and there are no additions of fish, or anything else that could be carrying trophonts, tomonts, tomites or theronts for a period of 6 weeks or longer, all parasites will have died.

3 to 28 days just on reproductive stage....so you have a long way to go before putting in another fish....read the preventing ICK....so when you are ready to put in fish you can prevent ICK....

Just stick your hand in each day if it comes out looking like it's sprinkled with salt then ich is still there.

Vinny, speaking in lamens terms, (I'm no expert) if there aren't any fish in the tank... the ich can still be in there. The parasite's life cycle as I understand it is no more than 14 days (30 for safety). If there aren't any more fish to "host" the parasite it won't reproduce and will eventually die off. Note... that if there are any other fish in the tank they will probably also get the ich and the reproduction of the parasite will start all over again.

The visible white spots on the fish is the last phase of reproduction... they will fall off and divide to reproduce themselves.

Are there any other fish in the tank now, or was the one fish it?

The cycle wouldn't be affected by removing the dead fish. If it's a reef or FOWLR there are tons of different types of living things that are doing the cycling for you. Having a fish in there is really unneccessary at all.

Yes, healthy fish, no fish or dead fish....there will be Ich in your system if it has been introduced.
