The B-Ionic is a good product IMO but it can get pricey especially on a larger tank like yours. What animals do you have currently? And how high is high? Give a little more info so we can give a more detailed answer. Good Reefing
I couldnt see how b-ionic could bring it down either....is this unsafebeing this high?
I tested the alkalinity and it was perfect and nitrites and nitrates are also great...
PH was 8.5 which is a little high
salinity is good...
I currently am stocking since it is only a few months old just a galaxea, a tube anenome, a green carpet anenome, a pink anenome, a frogspawn and an acropora with a yellow tang, a hippo, two clowns and a slew of invertrebrates...
"Does not register" probably means he quit before he hit the titration equalibrium, which is actually what I've done to in testing my new tank (I didn't want to wast the entire reagent bottle to find out how high was high). So I guess I have the same question: How high is too high? What are the possible side effects?
IIRC, it is really really hard to make Ca hit a level that is actually harmful to animals. I will do a little digging and see if I can find the right article.
I have had mine high enough that I had to refill the reagent a second time. No biggie.
