I wanted to share my experience with both of these products. Hopefully, it will help some newbs...

Had the BakPak for a few months. What I noticed... This thing is obnoxiously loud! Takes up a lot of room. Skims OK though...

Remora. MUCH quieter! Skims just as well, probably better. PLUS, the Remora "discharge ledge" does not draw nearly as much attention as the huge 1-1/4 diameter discharge that the BakPak has.

In a nutshell, the Remora is a MUCH better unit. It takes up less space, is much quieter and skims great.

I had my 100W Ebo in the BakPak. Now it's in the tank, but, I think I've figured out a way to shove it in the Remora.

Just thought I'd share... Anyone wanna buy a slightly used BakPak? Heh.....

You can put the heater in the outlet chamber of the Remora and run the powercord through the outlet opening. Just make sure to support the powercord up out of the water so you don't end-up with water following the cord and dripping.
