HELP with Phosban reactor

Well I got just my reactor. The schmuck I got it from didn't even have the decency to clean it out for me. He took it off his tank, boxed it just like that and sent it.

Ok now I just got done cleaning it, I washed the whole thing out. The problem is that it didn't come with any sort of directions. I'm not sure how much Rowasphos to add. I'm not sure about any of this. Not sure about the hoses and pump......

Follow the instructions on the Rowaphos container, after you follow charile's instructions.

It didn't come with a ball valve? Is there one that is specif that I need for this? Can I just go to HD and buy a 1/2" ball valve?

taat, is this the one you got? If you go to HD to buy the ballvalve make sure it is made out of plastic. Take a look at the diagram charile posted, and see if you can find something like it. By the way it looks intimidating, buy it is real simple to put together. If I did it with my chemo brain, I'm sure you'll have no problems.:wink1:

Can be installed as hang-on, sump, above tank. Many options.

That is the exaclt one that I got. I'm gonna go to HD and get the ball valve then come back and bother you guys. Can I use this HOT? It would make my life much easier if I could.
