Today I noticed that some of my blue legged hermits are pulling from their shells and moving around without. I also saw one of the shelless hermits being eaten by another? What is going on??

Do they have bigger shells to move into as they grow?

Hermits are pretty ruthless and will kill each other if they have the chance. However, if you see what looks like a hermit eating another, they may just be chowing down on a molted skeleton,

A friend of mine had a hermit that outgrew it's shell and moved into a hole in the rock. It was pretty funny to see, until he starved to death.
