Hi Bros and sis,

I am still new to this hobbies and hope you can guide me along. Just wondering if there's any necessary trace element to be added along with water change? :?
This is what happen..2days ago I made a water change, and after that, I added trace element and strontium. In the night, I doze my kalk.. next morning, I found my powder brown tang dead. I can't understand what's the reason as my powder is eating fine all along. Has my water change with addition additive cause its death?

If it has been the case, I wouldn't had added those additive at the same time? Pls advice..

Thanks in advance..

You shouldnt have to add trace elements after a water change since synthetic salt already has them in it...I also would be cautious of adding strontium or any other additive unless you have a kit to test for it..also in synthetic salt, there is strontium to replenish what was lost in between water changes...

What he said!

Sorry to hear about your Brown...hard to say what caused its death, but they do require constant pristine water conditions. :(
