Well, talk about keeping NANO Tanks... last month I went on vacation back to Guatemala. I figured 8 days out of the country, left clear instructions, and the tank was pretty much in optimal condition... after 8 months of having the tank under my tutelage it was at its best. Went on vacation, and a good friend of mine stayed here, and her job was to make sure that the water levels were fine. Sounds good so far no?......
HA HA HA,
Well I forgot that you do not let a bi-polar OCD chick take care of anything but a plastic plant.
Well, she thought that the timer wasn't working (since she didn't see it actually feed the tank) so, she took it upon herself to FEED the tank with Flakes...enough so that after she managed to kill (YES KILL) my two gorgeous green chromi and my lovely lubbocks fairy wrasse, she decided to leave my place and dissapear before I came back.
She just left me a note.
As I came in... there was a pervasive smell of matches. HEAVY enough that I could smell it upon coming into the apt. Yes, heavy PO odor, water cloudy enough to look like someone dropped some milk in it. And...about the sand all covered with the uneaten remnants of FLAKE food.
SO... my latest adventure begins.
