Okay...

90 gallon NEW setup. No living things in the tank except for live sand.

I bought sea salt from someone I know that is producing his own products. Each bag came with a small pouch of calcium to be added also.

I added the salt when I set up the tank and reached the desired salinity. Being ignorant, I then mixed about half of the total volume of calcium with RO water and then just dumped it in. Now I have milky water. Remember, there is nothing in the tank to kill at this point.

I then realized that I probably did a bad thing by not dripping the solution in the sump. Will this cause long term "issues" later on? What should I do now?

Worse case you just caused a precipitation event and there will be no long term effects - the new water will just be low in Calcium, Carbonate, and possibly Magnesium. Ask your friend what's exactly in the bag...
