VHO ballasts - Par

Planning on (2) 160w VHO's to go with a total of 750w MH for a 180 RR

Here's the question:

I've done some reading on par values but i am wondering if anyone has any experience or solid opinion about ARO vho ballasts compared to icecap vho ballasts. I went with icecap ballasts (used)for my MH. Is icecap (new) worth the extra money for the VHO's?

I haven't used ARO so I can't do a comparison. I have some very old IceCap ballasts though. They don't seem to quit.

ditto on icecap.... they are great. I have their MH and VHO ballasts and love them... I had a wiring issue.... they drew up a new wiring diagram and emailed it to me within minutes....

good service, good products, and a good company! BTW made in the USA!

ARO ballasts are good and they come with full warrantys through Hellolights. In my opinion the customer service dosent get much better than theirs.
I have three ARO(2MH 1-VHO) ballasts that have been running for two years without fail.

Better price than Ice cap too.

ice cap customer service is perfect. usualy 1 day turn around.
also you can dim them if you wanna spend a lil money to do somthing wierd like that

I should mention that "very old" is >10 years.

They cost more but are an excellent value.
