what about" SeaChem"salt? Is it really better for our fish? Which salt is batter?

There are a lot of people that believe in aquarium systems instant ocean salt, it has been around quite a while and is used by the professionals down to the beginners. However, you may choose which ever salt works best for you.

Really, you will hear about a lot of "cures" and "this will boost whatever" snake oils. I've never heard of that claim about Seachem's salt, I wouldn't buy a salt from anyone based on that claim. I have use Seachem, I/O, and Corallife, and have seen no difference as far as fish health. I'm using I/O currently, as I like the way it mixes better, and the price is decent.

IMO the Borate level of Seachem salt is way way way too high.

Thanks for your help! I use' AB'salt (made in Germany),It's cheap but not good for me I think,so I want to try another one.Is the 'Aquarium Systems'salt better?

I currently use instant ocean salt and it works fine for me.

Anyone use the Coralife salt? I've noticed it dissolves considerably quicker than instant ocean. It also claims the following:

Approximately .29lbs (about ½ cup) of Coralife Scientific grade marine salt dissolved in 1 gallon of distilled water at 78 degrees F, will yield a solution with the following properties.

Specific Gravity: 1.021-1.023
pH: 8.2-8.3
Calcium: 390-410 ppm
Magnesium: 1250-1300 ppm

I've had to monkey around with buffers to get the pH right, but have otherwise been pleased.
