I have enough to fill a garden shed. Empty tanks take so much space, and they don't nest nicely like those russian eggs. Just sold one 110 gal and a 50 gal last week on eBay, and got <7E counting his fingers...> 7 or 8 more to get rid off before the Queen Majesty (aka, wife) will smile on me.
are you kidding! i am the pick-a-part of aquarium supplies.... I coul stock a LFS with replacment parts for filters... overflows, bulkheads, mogul and DE sockets, ballasts of all types... and some dog food.
How embarassing. I guess it's official, I'm a packrat?!? I thought I was pretty good at getting rid of stuff I don't need. Lord knows I've unloaded SO MUCH stuff already, I've given away/sold numerous tanks, equipment, just buttloads of stuff, already. I've only hung onto the bare essentials! I swear it! And it's all still good! You just can't throw away perfectly good stuff. What if I NEED IT SOMEDAY?
I have already set up three other tanks with stuff I have saved.. I could probably do a couple more FW tanks too.. I have every fish accessory i have ever bought and its box....
I tore down my FO tanks when I was pregnant, 17 years ago. I'd had some of those tanks since I was in grade-school. I ran a 10 gallon freshwater tank in our son's room until he started climbing. I had good intentions of setting up my tanks as soon as he got big enough. I should be embarassed that I just never got around to it and all that equipment just sat in the garage.
I just set up a reef tank and I have pulled some of the old equipment out of the boxes in the garage and am using it on my new tank. Plus I am using all of the old coral heads! I knew that I would need that stuff someday. So now besides all the stuff I already had I now have a 54 g AGA corner tank, 1/6 hp chiller, thermostatic controller, various lights, etc, etc...
