electric bill!!

Can any one give me a rough percentatage of how much your electric bill went up when you jumped into this hobby?

Depends on your set up. Size, lighting, pumps, airconditioning, etc.
Years ago I went from $35 a month to $400 a month, now a days my bill went from $23 a month to $30 a month.

Not real sure. It seems I have always started my tank in the spring when my bill is already on the rise.

well lets see last months bill was $134 adding 3-400watt MH and two 2600 SEIO and two 1500 Seio pumps and the bill this month was $238. And the light CO. Just got approved to go up another 22% by April oh fun.

I never really noticed an increase when I started a 75G tank. I think my bill went up $50 - $75 per month when I started my 300G. Ouch.

Why am I the only one who's electric bill goes down in the spring and summer months? Oh yeah, I'm totally electric and my bill will probably quadurple this month 8O

Paying for the cost of running the tank is the least of my worries :wink:

Nope I live just to the right of where the Ohio River meets the Mississippi River. Hot summers and cold winters. Life sucks here! :wink:

Mine went up about $200-250 per month when starting the 1000g SPS sytem.

My 90 added about $50.00 to my bill, and with the recent skyrocketing of fuel prices in the NE add another $150. Now i'm at $450-500 per month.
