Powerheads and Aeration

If this is a dumb question I apologize. I have a Maxijet 900 in my tank right now. Do I connect the air line that it gives me to it? The air line that I am talking about is the one that goes to the outside of the tank to pull in air and then it comes through the output and thousands of tiny bubbles come out with the water flow. Thanks for all suggestions. I am not going to have any sponges in my tank. Just fish, an anemone, and will be putting in some coral soon.

Not normally.. Do you have a skimmer? It will give you all the aeration your tank needs.

I don't have a skimmer yet. Will be getting one in a few weeks. If I don't have a skimmer then shoud I use the line?

I would aim the powerhead so that it makes ripples on the surfact of the water. I probably wouldn't use the airline--microbubbles can be irritating to your livestock. If your pH is staying at acceptable levels, then you probably don't have an O2 problem.

The skimmer, as stated, will eventually satisfy any concerns here.
