3 big questions

In my 6 gal nano I have a Yellow watchman/tiger pistol, and sometimes I think the watchman comes out and looks at me and is saying "What the %#$@ are you doing to us?" So I've had some issues and are wondering about a few things....

1. Tropic Marin Pro-reef mixed to 1.026 has a level of 1100 magnesium,so I have to dose the heck out of the tank with additive but never can get it to what? is the desired level? What is the best additive?

2. What is the best temp to keep tank at ? Mine is at 79-80

3. What is the absolutely best heater (50W) The visatherm cooked my tank and the "all Glass" Is becoming scary too. It says 71 degrees on the dial but the tank is at 79.5.

Your params look ok to me, as far as temp 79-80 ok. The best heater I have found is the Ebo Jager.

1 - 1250-1350ppm. Find some Magnesium chloride, don't only dose Magnesium sulfate (too much sulfate)

2 - Research where your animals came from Fiji & Florida = lower temps. Red Sea = higher temps. 79-80 is fine IMO but at the low end.

3 - Get a controller with a temp probe if you want the best. Otherwise EBO is good.
