Depends how peaceful the species is.

Usually you will need a large tank to house them together; and it is best if there where two distinct territories (rock islands).

The key is to put them in at the same time, if possible, when they are both young and the same size.

If you already have one in the tank, the new addition should be larger.

Good advice from cindre...

FWIW, I have tried it twice. One time it worked, the other it didn't.

The time it worked they were introduced together into a 75 gallon (4' long) tank. One Centropyge vroliki and one Centropyge eibli. That got along fine and would actually hang out together.
