i've had my 37 gallon tank established for about a month and half. I consistantly checked my water and the levels have not shown any signs of his ammonia or pH. A few days ago i added a angel coral beaut, a clown, and cleaner shrimp.

The Shrimp has no problem eatting mysis but the other two are hesitant. Unfortunately ive only been able to get home from work around 11 or so but my light has been all day and the fish are still active. I do try and feed in the morning but they are still hesitant and may only pick at them. They will go up to the shrimp as it floats down but never actually engage a bite. (the light is on for up to 12 hours only. from 11 to 11). Does the time of day have much to do with their feeding habits? Should i be more concerned about getting home around 6 or 6:30 to feed them? Nobody ive talked to could give me a clear answer. Ive also tried flakes and pellets with no prevail.

What am i doing wrong? or is it just their acclimation process leaves them a little less hungry. They look healthy enough... so i dont know

In case no one has said this already...

:welcome:

A tank being set up only a month could still be cycling; what exactly are the water values testing at (ammonia, ph, nitrate, nitrite, SG, etc)? Can you give me more information about your set up as in the equipment, type of filtration, liverock, etc? That helps a great deal in trying to figure out what is happening.

Some fish do take a while to acclimate to a new environment, so that could be a cause but I'd like a bit more info on your water values before I speculate further :D As far as flakes and pellets go, most fish need time to recognize that as food so thme not taking those isn't surprising. Do you know what the LFS (local fish store) was feeding your fish before you bought them?
