Really. I just couldnt take the suspense of having to wait six months to move to my new house to get a tank up and running again. I broke down and bought a 12 gallon plexiglass tank that will be a FOWLR until i move.
i set it up with 10lbs of live sand and 10 lbs of live rock so far. I literally had to get my hand wet with the saltwater. i have been working on building the tank room and dont know how to shrink the pics down for the web as of yet. im trying to sell my old 90 fresh and stand on craigs list and have decided to go custom from the get go.my RO/Di filter arived the other day. Looks good. with i could set it up too. Dont thinik the apt manager would appreciate my drilling hole in the water and drain lines..lol
I figure the 12 gallon plexi can be drilled and made inot a refugium when im ready. At least that was what i told the wife.. We'll see. some day ill figure out how to post my pics..so you can see my electrical handiwork. 8 switches including laundry lights and 9 outlets 3 dedicated circuits and a dedicated drain directly into the house for water changes (no siphoning).

Well just wanted to share..

Always good to have a small tank handy for the future. Could always be used as a Q-tank, hospital tank, etc if you don't decide to leave it up and running...

The new setup sounds like it will be great. If you want to start a thread in the main discussion forum about it, I'm sure many folks would be interested in following your progress.

As for resizing pics, you can use any image editing software. Even something basic (and free) like MS Paint (if you are running MS Windows you have it - it's included).

Thanks alot..Not building the house. Just the laundry room. I do it for a living so no big deal. Designing a saltwater system is though. Im torn between a 90 gallon or a 110 tall right now they are both 48x18 by either 25 or 31, Id like the extra size but if find that 24 inches is really about as long as my arm for decorating and such I think i might be getting my hair wet if i go 31 tall.LOL. I have about six month to do my soul searching.
we'll see
