6.6L fuge

well after realizing i set up my sump/fuge wrong, i tried figuring out a way to more effectively utilize my chaeto by reducing the flow it gets, my sump is getting about 600gph.

i ended up doing this

the container is 6.6l and i had a powersweep lying around to pump water in there, im assuming its getting about 120gph, is this still to fast?
and this is a long shot but would a DSB work in that little thing or is it not rely worth it? im mainly trying to get my nitrates down because nothing is working for me


one more thing...will having the power head where my old fuge was and where i have a gang of pods building up for the future mandarin affect anything?

How much detritus would say has accumulated on and around the live rock in your sump? Any amount you find will contribute to your nitrate problem.

i try to stir everything in there up with a powerhead whenever i start to see any accumulation. followed by a cleaning of the sponges.

Sponges? They become nitrate factories themselves.

im just using them temporarily and i clean every other day.
