IM a newb to reefing and dont have my 120 set up yet. I have however considered the kind I will use in the future. After reviewing the two you have posted. I wouldnt use either. I would consider using one with more safety backups ond definately wouldnt trust water levels to suction cup mounted sensors. My power head suction cups have given me problems with fresh water for 18 years. They get hard and quit working.

I use two in series. Therefore, if one fails, there is a backup. The one time I had one of these fail, it failed in the "ON" position and almost flooded my stand.

I also have them installed by looping the wires over some pipe and securing it with zip ties--that way if the suction cup fails, it will still work by dangling on the wire.

BTW, I didn't use either of these brands. Mine was made by a fellow reefer who sells them online--and for the life of me I couldn't find it now if I tried.

I use a float valve from US plastics. So far so good.
