hi thanks for replying

do u think my tank is nearly cycled yet?i ve being testing every day for 3 weeks now, yesterday the results were AMM 0 NITRITE 0.3 to 0.8(nitrite was major high last week or so,i was afraid it wouldnt come down at all)and NITRATE 110, but today the NITRITE has really fallin, its clearly 0.3 and the NITRATE has even stared to come down a bit too!!!!!
so if it stays down should i start doing the 80-90% water change

cheers talk soon :D

Sounds like it is getting there. Personnaly I would not do such a large water change. If it were me, I would do a 25% or so then next week do another 25% or so. I really do not see the need to check every day. Once or twice a week should be more than enough. Again, if it were me, I would let it run a week or so after the readings were stable.

Seeing you did not use RO/DI water I would do a 50% one week and a 50% a week or so later.

On a side note, no reason to make multiple threads for the same question.
