I discovered this "worm" on the glass today for the first time in my 110gal reef tank. It's about half an inch long.

Is it good, bad, neutral?

Not a bad picture but not good enough to narrow it down very far taxonomically. It's of the Order Nudibranchia and Suborder Doridina.
These animals are specialized predators many feeding on only one species of
coral, sponge, algae, anemone, etc. Without that food item they will starve to death in a normal reef tank.

Thanks for the info.

Here's a better picture. What do you think?

I have the following corals:

Finger Leather
Pom Pom
Clove
Green Star Polyp

Not sure how long he'll last anyway. My green bird wrasse spotted it at pecked it off the glass. Although it hasn't yet followed up on the attack.

David is a lot better at the ID thing but if I were to guess I'd say this guy like to munch on Leather Corals.

OTOH, why isn't it on you coral instead of the substrate?
