is 26x too much?

In an effort to stop my hair algae growth, I have ended up turning the water over in my tank about 26 times every hour with the skimmer, magnum canister, and various powerheads. It is a FOWLR and lots of healthy cualerpa. Is this too much? I am thinking it is, but the dern alage just wont go away

It is not too much. IMO it is just about the min I like in my tanks. My last tank had over 60x. I am planning a new tank and it to will have more than 60x once I am done.

It's not too much assuming none of the pumps are blowing directly at corals or in the paths of fish. A lot of SPS guys are getting their flow rates up past 60 like wazzel, and even some over 100x.
