Well I guess I am not vey good with the cam yet. Here is my first shot of the new tank and the aquascape. the pic is decieving as far as the rock layout. It actually has a lot of holes and nooks and crannies that are getting killer flow thru. Pic makes it look tight tho it is not.

Nothing wrong with that picture.

If you are using a digital cam its very important to do two things. Keep it very still (tripod hint hint) and make sure you are pointing the camera flat to the glass. Shooting at an angle tends to confuse the camera autofocusing software.

Hope that helps

Post some more pics, I really like that rockwork!

Yea Duane we will have to meet when you get all moved in . We can then share tips and critque each others tanks. Thx for the kind words Knuckle. I am very happy with the aquascape. My wifey helped me as I could not see what the **** it looked like hanging in over the edge of the tank.

There are no flat closed areas at all the flow is incredible. I had several people tell me not to cycle my rock in darkness cause I would lose all the coralline and such, but I didnt listen and the rock is coloring up real nice. I am a beleiver that cycling in darkness also keeps the potential hair algae at bay when the lights finally come on. Sprung higly recomends this method. Seems to have worked for me. I have some really nice pics but cannot seem to get them uploaded.

Wish someone would tell me how to upload more than one pic at a time. Any takers???

You have to use the post reply button, and at the bottom of that page there is an area for you to add attachments.

After clicking browse and selecting the picture you want, instead of hitting submit you must click Add another attachment.

The most you can attach is 3 I believe in one post.

you also must have something in the post reply box or it won't let you add an attachment. Last note, you must be actually logged into the site for any of that to work.

Hope that helps.

When I post pics I hit preview and then add onther attachment from that menu. Between the two methods here. You should be good to go.

I like the aquascaping a lot. Did you use different types of Live rock, or is it all the same?

Thanx Paul, I used two types marshall island and some Tonga branch. What was nice was with the amount of dinero I spent with the LFS when they had their 500 lb order come in I got to cherry pick from their shipment.Nothing was off limits. I was really impressed with their service.

I will follow the instructions about the pics and try to get some better shots tomorrow or Wed. Chris if the limit is three per post how can I post more than that? what is the proper protocol on this board?

Can I just do consecutive posts' doing three per post. If so do I need to use a different subject line each post. Please clarify.

thanks all of the folks @ Reef.org for your help over the last few months ingetting my happy little reef together:)

You don't have to put a subject line in any post but the first in a thread

You can just do consecutive posts with three per post.

A simple explanation of what you are posting helps to make pics easier to understand such as "Full front shot", "Right side", "Anenome" and so on and so forth...
