Hi all,
My daughter's tank appears to be ready for its first fish :D , all tests good and lfs are checking the water tomorrow to make our testing correct for ammonia, nitrite etc. All being well we will purchase 2 clowns either common or percula. However today I spotted what appears to be a small glass/rock anemone (aiptasia) which I understand can be problematic. After reading the article in library on removal, have decided against chemical method and am considering peppermint shrimp instead (Lysmata wurdemanni). My question is how long should I wait after introduing the clowns before adding a shrimp? Thanks

If your tank is large enough you can add them at the same time. If it is small I would give a couple of weeks. If you are not planning to add corals they are not quite such a big deal. If you are going to add corals it would be best to get rid of them now before they multiply.

Thanks for advice, Tank is quite small  by marine standards 180 litres (aprox 40 gallons), so will take advice and wait a couple of weeks after adding clowns. My daughter also wants to eventually add a cleaner shrimp, are there any compatability issues with this and a resident peppermint shrimp :?:

I've had cleaner shrimp and pepermint together with no problems. My peps tended to stay hidden a good part of the time.
