White flea like critters

I have some white flea like critters in my fuge. I read somewhere on this site what they were but I forgot. Can anyone ID them for me so I can search the site for more info about them as my occi clowns are currently in the fuge and they love them!

I would guess they are "pods". Their are a couple of different kinds that are commone in reef tanks.

Yep, probably amphipods, copepods, and isopods. If you look at the hitchhiker faq on this site you will see some pictures and brief descriptions. Most are beneficial and good food. The only parasitic one occasionally found in our tanks is the ciralonid (sp?) isopod. There is a picture of that one to be sure that's not what you have. But it's not very common, so I doubt you have to worry.

Thanks guys, from the HHFAQ description I would say they are amphipods- may be wrong, but they are definitely not cirolanid isopods...
My tiny occi clowns are loving them and are looking incredibly healthy and colourful, and spend all the time hunting them in the water column. Their arrival has coincided with the appearance of some hair algae in the tank, sump and fuge so it would seem to make sense...now to get them into the main tank.......(the fuge drains thru 3" of live sand into the equiptment chamber, dont see them surviving the sand and return pump, not to mention the skimmer!)
