Those look like good deals though I can't say I'm familiar with the quality of either product. I'd prefer the second one - clear housings and a double DI setup.

I just bought the second one listed 5 minutes ago on Ebay. I will post a review of it (for whay my opinion's worth) when I get it. It looks like a really nice unit. I'll let everyone know.

110 GPD 6 stage RO/DI with faucet adapter for $130.00 total including shipping? WOOT!

Thanks hardparts2 for alerting us to this deal.

Here's the link again to the one I bought:

I received my RO/DI unit today via UPS.

As promised I am going to give my impressions of this RO/DI unit.

Please bear in mind this is my first RO/DI unit so I don't really have a lot to compare it to. That being said I am impressed. This thing is built as solidly as anything I could hope for in a consumer product. Thick enamel coated metal frame, solid construction. In short a tank. It came nicely packaged in a thick cardboard box. Here is a picture of it in the packaging:

It arrived in perfect shape. Once I had it out of the box I sent it over to our in-house product testing department. After rigorous examination and testing it came back with an A+. Below is a picture of the tests in progress:

The instruction manual was easy to read and has a lot of pictures so it is easy to follow. The only thing that was a bit confusing is that the manual they sent is for the 100 and 106 models. Mine is a 102 model. However the only difference between the 100 model and mine is that it has one less DI stage and the canisters are not clear. I'm not sure if it was their intent that you follow the 100 instructions for the 102 but it was fine.

I got it set up in the kitchen and started the process of making some RO/DI water. Everything worked fine. I don't exactly have advanced water purity testing equipment here so I couldn't say if it meets their claims for rejection percentage or not. It take standard sized filter cartridges though so I can't see why you couldn't subtitute your own preferred cartridges if you were so inclined.

It is hard to capture the fast paced action packed activity of making RO/DI water but I attempted to do so in the high speed shot below (those pregnant or with a heart condition may want to look away):

So I would say that considering the price of most 6 stage 100 gpd RO/DI units I am extremely happy having only paid $130.00 including shipping.
