Does anyone have a review on the Poseidon Pumps?
I talked to the lfs today about returning the pump they sold me because of noise and they told me that they can't take it back because it has already been used. They offered to sell me a new one at a slight discount but I'm not very happy with them right now, so I've decided to shop elsewhere.
I'm looking for a pump that will manage a 50 gallon tank and be as quiet as possible. (I'm willing to spend extra money for the silence.) Google kept popping up with the Poseidon Pumps as being the quietest, but I'm a little confused because they are also really inexpensive.
So, my questions are:
1. How big of a pump do I really need for 50 gallons (in terms of flow rate)?
2. Are the Poseidon's good?
3. Are they submersible? (my sump is exactly the size of my stand so I have no room for external)
4. If not, can you mount them on the inside wall of the stand above the sump, or do they need to be horizontal?
5. Any other reccomendations?
