hello again!
i just did a foolish thing.
i purchased a banded coral shrimp without researching them. now he seems to be very interested in my cleaner shrimp.
am i going to find him(cleaner shrimp) missing tomorrow?
From me expeirence they cleaner shrimp should not be missing. My coral banded will raise his claws towards my fish sometimes, but I have never seen him hurt anything. They look so tough that you expect them to be aggressive.

i googled "banded coral shrimp" and saw a few descriptions saying that they will eat small crabs and crustaceans, and that they are territorial.
i have alot of small hermits and a teensy weensy cleaner shrimp that this coral banded towers over.
i threw him in the hospital tank just incase. i'd rather he go, then all the rest.
Coral bandeds should be fine with cleaners, I have two of them in with 4 cleaners and 3 dancing shrimps. The banded shrimps do however fight with each other and one usually ends up losing a claw for a few days. This is apparently common unless they are a mated pair. They have left my hermits and fish alone.Bear in mind that according to Sprung and Delbeek all of the above shrimps have been known to peck at corals (found that out in some reading I did on the weekend) although I have not personally had any bad experiences.
I caught all the srimps wild, all under the same ledge together on the same dive. They seem pretty happy together in the wild, its not the first time I have seen mixed colonys.
mine seems fine in the tank with my cleaners, just a word of warning tho, this may not happen to you, espescially if your careful, but mine did grab me the other day
