Carbon question(not a debate)

Without creating a large debate let me ask a simple question. I purchases some active carbon at my LFS and tonight was going to add it. I noticed it says it contains less than 3 parts per billion phosphates.

Should I throw it away and buy some Kent marine phosphate free, or use this until its gone? I like to avoid problems before they start. Sadly I already opened the carbon and taking it back is an issue. Thanks

If you want to avoid any potential problem, just buy more. Keep that other AC handy though, you may need some in a hurry or say on a Q tank where you don't care if you add phosphates.

Yeah, I just threw it away. Tomorrow I am going to buy more. Is there a particular brand you recommend> I was thinking Kent marine?? Thanks Tracy
