Does anyone know if live rock will survive a copper treatment for ich? i've dosed the tank once and was thinking of taking it out and putting it in another tank but i dont want to spread anything(ich, copper, etc) to the new tank. any suggestions would help at this point. thanks guys!!!!

The rock will survive the treatment just fine but can potentialy leach copper back int the tqank over time. If you are going to have a FOWLR, no problems. If you are going to have a reef, definately remove it as copper is harmful to corals.

so can i take that piece of rock out now and put it in another tank without it doing any damage?

i have no corals in the tank i want to move the rock to. just more live rock, snails, 2 flower anems, and 2 clowns.

DON'T DO IT. The copper will kill any and all inverts..that means your snails and anemones! And, in future, you can't ever use that tank for ANY invertibrate, it's just not worth the potential risk IMO.
