I would use a rubber-band and a small piece of LR Rubble. If you don't have any Rubble just chip off a small piece of your LR, Put the shroom on the rock and wrap a rubber-band around it (Loose, just enough to hold it on). After that you can place your shroom back in the Tank (Try to find a spot with low-Flow) or put it in the Refugium (If you have one) and it should attach itself to the rock within a week, then just cut the rubber-band off.

Good Luck 8)

You probably couldn't kill it if you wanted to.
Mushrooms are amazingly hardy!

In addition to the rubberband thing, you can hold them in place with bridal vail, super glue, or even place them in a container with some rubble pieces (you generally have to cover the container with vail or a lid that has holes/slots cut in it so the in-tank circulation doesn't carry them away before they can attach).

I've had softies that didn't like superglue much. But it works sometimes. I use superglue on everything else, though. But for softies, I've mostly done what Chris recommended.

where would i find bridal veil?
Bridal veil is expensive. Try veil cloth as it is much, much cheaper and you should be able to find it wherever they sell fabric. Walmart has a fabric section so sometimes they have it.

You guys sure are nice in this forum...
Three post and no one said "on a bride's head."

Go to a craft store and ask for tulle (pronounced tool).

When the shroom detached did it leave behind any babies?

Good luck!

just make sure the conditions are ideal....not too much water flow, correct lighting(although mushrooms don't need too much), and i supplemented the water with iodine once a week. my water temp is 80 degrees. they split themselves, as far as i know you can't do anything manually to split them. just make them happy!!!!!

How strong of light? Sometimes they'll take on food too, so if you spot feed them they'll grow/split faster/more often. Or you can propagate them.
