I dump mine down an outside drain with a 1" hosepipe when I do PWCs. (usually 100GA of dump) Smaller amounts (Sump syphoning etc ) go down the kitchen sink... I dont know what my pipes are made of, but most likely PVC- anyway, there is enough fresh water flow from daily activity to flush them out if they are mild steel- I wouldnt worry too much. Is it common in your area to have corrosive outflow pipes?

Down the storm drain. Most is not all of your drain pipes are PVC and will not corrode.

Saltwater kill grass so well that nothing will grow on the spot for a long time. The Roman got the technique / art perfectly a few thousands years ago, and that's why you don't want to mess with them if you want to be able to grow anything on your land after they left.

Galvanized steel. I believe it sill can corrode over time, especially in salt water.

Just flush some tap water after it if you are concerned. With the rest of sewage, the amount of salt is not that big of a deal if it is just a few gallons. If you operate a public aquarium and need to dispose thousand of gallon every few hour, then it would seriously damage the sewage plant, since some (like my city) RO the sewage to get some drinking water out of it. 8O :? . I am sure they would like the sewage to have as little salt as possible.

As for the intestinal infection, I think it is just a coincident. Not a vet, but the chance is very slim.

backyard grass loves all the minerals.

If they are eel grass. Otherwise, the sodium and chloride will pretty much kill regular land plants.

PVC plumbing so I just dump it down the drain.. - I don't send enough down the line for the treatment plant to have too many worries about it..
