Question about wavemaker

I am setting up a 330L fowlr tank, i have bought 2 seio 820 with a combined 6400LPH. I have read that a wavemaker is good as it keeps particules in the water in suspesion fo that they can be removed by the skimmer. I have found on the internet a wavemaker for £40, it is one were it is a set of sockets on timers, they then stop and start the PH, i know that there are better systems one the market, but i have no money left after buying the rest of the stuff for the tank. Wondering if anyone has one of these or has any advice about these. I would like to try and keep some mushroom corals in the upper regions of the tank, would this flow rate be sufficient for them? Also, my tank is a corner tank, has anyone had/has a corner tank, were is the best place in your opinion on there placement in the tank? Thanks for any help, new to this,got loads of questions, seem to get a new one every ten minutes.

just some random comments:

1, most mushroom does not like too much current, at least it is not necessary to keep the current to make them happy.

2, for these timer/wavemaker, make sure you powerhead can be turn on and off on regular interval. Some PH are not good for this application. FWIW, my favorite is MaxiJet, don't know if it is readily available in UK.

Thanks for the help, the corals is not the main problem. In your experience does the wavemaker keep the particules in suspension longer so that they are skimmed more efficiently? I have looked into theseio conyrol system and it said that you can only have a maximium of 2 PH connected. I would like to increase the amount of flow in the future.

It really depend on the design of the PH and the location you place them. For example, you will get better detritus suspension if you aim them to blow across the sandtop. Some PH is designed to shoot pressured water jets, and others is designed for low pressured high volume applications. Tunze turbelle pump fits the latter description.

The main reason for wavemaker is to provide circulation and more "natural" setting for the corals and critters. Its ability to suspend particulates is not usually the main focus. In fact, for fine aragonite sand, it can be an issue if the wavemarking mechanism is too strong, making the sand constantly shifting or keep the sand particular in the water column.

With moderate flow, you skimmer should be alright. Occusionally, if you want to get the particulate everywhere, some people use turkey blaster (big eye dropper) to get the job done.

Just suggestion some alternative.

Thanks for the help, the wavemaker that i have been looking at is not that good with the seio's as they cannot work in either direction as they are AC not DC. Will probably just have them on during the day. Thanks for the help, any advice you have welcome, cheers mate.
