I am new here as well as to reef aquarium.

I do not have any coral in my tank yet. The tank is only three weeks old.
It is my first SW 20G tank and I plan to turn it into a reef.

I have 27lbs of Fiji LRs with LS. One fire shrimp and a cleaner shrimp.

Remora HOB Protein Skimmer with 1200 Maxijet.
AquaClear Powerhead.

Cat fish 130w 21000k Day/Actinic lights
75w heater

This is my starter reef tank since I do not know how will things turn out to be down the road. I have a 125g on the side in case I want to upgrade.

Sounds like you are off to a good start. A lot of guys here like the HOB Remora for smaller tanks. If you can post some pics. We love us some pics here

I've done some research before start seting up the tank. The remora skimmer does an excellent job on pulling nasty stuff out of the water. It keeps my water crystal clear.

The tank has finished cycling, but needs more time to become stable and mature. I can't wait to see some fish in my tank.
