I want to put some red leg hermits, snails and eventually a purple chromis and a royale gramma in my FOWLR tank. My concern is whether any of my inhabitants are in danger of being sucked into my powerheads! I have two AQ 70 on each end of my 55 about three inches from my substrate. Is this something I need to worry about?

Not usually. On rare occasion a fish will get sucked into an intake. YOu wouldhave to wonder wether it was healthy or not.

I had a BTA that got nailed by a power head that dropped off it's sucker. BTA lost, i had to cut it up just to get it out of the ph. BTA was moving to a new spot so it was wrong place wrong time

You can superglue a piece of fiberglass window screen over the intake of the powerhead; it will cut down on flow somewhat and has to be cleaned off fairly often.

how long did you wait until you hacked up the anemone?
my LTA got sucked into a powerhead and i just shut it down and waited, the next day he had pulled himself free and had no damage. it was amazing considering how much of him was sucked in, but he pulleed through.
